Abstract

|
The Main purpose of this project is to develop a community based health promotion program for elders residing in a province. The program was developed by using PRECEDE model and was to be implemented by Public Health Nurses at the local health center. Need Assessment was done with 580 elders who visited the health center. Lack of exercise, smoking, drinking and lack of regular health screen were identified as problematic behaviours. Health needs were prioritized and exercise program for elders was developed.
